CONCEPT

The wineproducer Pennesi Vin is located in Moss. The commune shield of Moss portrays a crow and is often called “the Moss crow” in the area. To create a connection to their origin, the red wine was named “corvo”, which is italian for crow. Paired with an abstracted hand-drawn illustration of the bird in black.

To create a coherent concept for the white wine I found a bird typically found in the wine district they harvest their grapes from in Italy, the heron. The italian name for heron is “Airone”, which became the name of this bottle. Paired with an abstracted hand-drawn illustration of the bird.

This bottle portrays the illustration of the heron in white with a darker green/yellow tone as background to create associations to the white wine and the green grape. This helps the association center in the brain to differentiate the red & white bottles.
