PASSION
After graduating from Westerdals with a bachelor in Art Direction, my work quickly grew into one of my greatest passions.
What I love most about this field is how it brings together creativity, collaboration, strategy and hands-on problem solving. I enjoy being part of a team, learning from others, and pushing ideas further to create work that makes an impact.
NATURE
Growing up in the countryside with animals, especially horses, shaped many of my core values. It taught me discipline, patience and responsibility, as well as the importance of empathy, problem-solving and perseverance.
Living close to nature and observing it every day also gave me a deep respect for sustainability and the beauty in small details. All these are qualities that consciously and subconsciously continue to guide both my life and creative work.
ART
Art has been a part of my life as long as i can remember. Either through art and pieces found on journeys through different cultures, inspired by nature and people, or expressed in my own sketchbook
In 2024, I got to show my work in two exhibitions - one in Berlin and one in Norway. The Norwegian show even sold out several of my pieces, which felt both surreal and motivating. I feel very blessed to practice my art as a hobby and having people appreciate the way I express myself.

“We sincerely thank Ada Nerland Ekløv for her unique and invaluable contribution to the artistic landscape of "Home: A Journey to Identity and Belonging."
Ada Nerland Ekløv, a 26-year-old self-taught artist, delves into the depths of human emotion to create compelling and evocative works of art. Her pieces are characterised by androgynous motifs and vibrant use of colour, aiming to communicate the complexity of emotions and provoke thoughtful discussion.
Ada's art catalyses openness and dialogue about human existence and self-understanding. Her skilful use of traditional techniques, such as acrylic paints and pen & pencil on paper, maintains the authenticity of her emotions. Her work is a testament to her dedication to capturing the essence of human experience, making her a profound and impactful voice in contemporary art.
Thank you for sharing your incredible talent and being part of this journey with us.”

OBJECT
In 2024, there was a major public debate in Norway about the fact that one in five women have experienced rape, and about how the legal system is handling these cases.
"Object" is a visualization of our societal problem and my own feelings related to being objectified and not being listened to when you speak up.

Porcelain box
«Porcelain Box» is a piece is made for the North Art exhibition in Norway. The piece discusses themes like identity, privilige, peace & war, isolation and power relations in the absurd world of 2024.
70x100 - liquid charcoal on 150g paper
This piece was the start of a rebirth of my creativity in early 2024 after a few years not drawing or painting.
“Choose your character” is a visualization of how the different external factors one encounters in life and everyday life and how it affects the inner self.
